The Properties tab has two categories: History and General Information.

History

History provides creation date and last modification date of the applicatione. Once the Patent Application is initially created the Date Created information never changes.  The Date Last Modified text box is provided as an indication of when the file was last updated (saved).  Both of these text boxes are disabled so you cannot overwrite their values.

General Information
The General Information Category allows you to enter all of the inventors who contributed too and will be credited with the Intellectual Property claimed in the Patent Application.  To add an inventor press the Add Command Button and use the keyboard to type in the name.  To remove an Inventor click on the Inventor's name in the list and then click the Remove Command Button.  To modify a name double click on the name, then use the keyboard to make the necessary changes.  The order in which the names appear in the list determines how they are printed on the Patent Application.  To move an Inventor's name click on the name then press the up or down arrow.

The Docket Number is provided for assigning your own alphanumeric tracking number to the Patent Application.  The Docket number is useful for individuals or businesses that submit multiple Patent Applications.  For individuals who do not submit many Patent Applications, this field is optional.
